JTAG is widely used as a processor debug port, and nearly all modern embedded processors support it. Embedded system development typically relies on JTAG for programming on-board memories and for software debugging. But for prototype bring-up and test, JTAG can be extended with a design verification environment plus a functional test library.

A hardware engineer needs to quickly bring-up and verify the operation of a new prototype. Kozio adds a verification environment to extend the JTAG capabilities.
