Kozio, Inc. Introduces Embedded Systems Test Support for ADI Engineering Coyote Gateway Reference Platform
Kozio test suite supports design based on the Intel® IXP425TM network processor
August 9, 2004, Longmont, CO – Kozio, Inc., a developer of embedded systems software, has introduced a new test suite developed in cooperation with ADI Engineering that supports ADI's Coyote gateway reference design based on the Intel® IXP425TM network processor. All three Kozio products– Kozio kMfgTestTM, Kozio kPOSTTM and Kozio kDiagnosticsTM – support this richly featured, production-ready gateway reference design.
"Kozio's embedded systems test capabilities bring a new level of convenience and confidence to manufacturers of products that leverage the Coyote platform," notes Steve Yates, President of ADI Engineering. "These new capabilities further our efforts to give our customers complete product solutions that reduce their cost and risk."
Kozio's embedded test capabilities complement the complete hardware and software solutions Coyote offers gateway OEMs that need to get product to market faster, at lower cost and with less development risk. Coyote enables development of integrated voice and data gateways, wireless access points, security devices and integrated access devices for residential, SOHO and SME markets.
Manufacturers of Coyote-based products can now rely on Kozio embedded systems test products to validate the following components for board test and final product test:
- Intel® IXP425TM 533 MHz network processor
- WAN: On-board ADSL PHY
- WAN: Ethernet PHY
- Ethernet Quad Switch and PHY
- Intel StrataFlashTM 16 MB
- SDRAM 16M x 32 (64 MB)
- IDE HDD interfaces supporting PIO modes 0 through 4
- USB 1.1 devices
- MiniPCI Type III slots
- FXS telephone ports
Kozio also supports testing additional peripherals and subsystem designs available in ADI’s library of pre-validated IP building blocks for the IXP425. Kozio's test support of ADI’s IP library provides OEMs a comprehensive design and production solution for popular IXP425 subsystems, including:
- Cardbus
- USB 2.0 host
- Compact Flash
- LCD graphics and touchscreen controllers
- Multi-protocol synchronous/asynchronous serial ports (RS-232, RS-448, RS-530)
