By deploying kDiagnostics Design Suite, you are accessing all you need to ensure prompt and rapid design validation and bring-up of your prototype hardware. Simply connect your prototype hardware, or first production boards, to a host PC via serial, USB or Ethernet. Invoke ValidationAssistant™ on your host PC, and define the name of the Kozio image you wish to download to the flash or RAM memory on your target hardware.

Using the diagnostic-focused user interface of ValidationAssistant permits you to run an entire hardware system functional test with a single command, or to specify individual functional test suites or even unique test methods. Whichever you choose, you'll get immediate access to comprehensive test status reports on test completion. You can then move on to other tests if all is well, or by modifying test method parameters, you can reconfigure failing tests in order to pinpoint potential failure mechanisms and troubleshoot why your hardware is failing to function as expected.

You can write scripts and invoke the interactive interpreter embedded within kDiagnostics, unleashing a powerful test development environment that you can use to modify parameterized existing test methods, or create new suites, or extend the Kozio test framework to develop higher-level system tests. In addition, you can choose to purchase the Design Suite Pro option, which includes a full GNU tool chain, test libraries and source code header files, that you can use to create your own test primitives or test methods, linking them with the Kozio test executive and standard test database, building your own customized kDiagnostics binary images for distribution to your design, development and test engineers.

Once you have completed board validation, your test process – including methods, suites and order of execution – is contained in a simple XML file that you can use for automated end-of-line testing.
