Solutions for Test Automation and Manufacturing Test
With the test process defining test methods and suites and the order of execution fully defined in an XML file, test operators connect DUTs to test fixtures and invoke SequenceRunner. Test sequences are easily initiated by scanning a DUT bar-code, or through clicking the SequenceRunner start button; the full test process begins, including in-system programming of flash memories; downloading of Kozio's kDiagnostics to the target DUT; tuning and configuring of SDRAM parameters; and then the full personalized test and diagnostics suite. The SequenceRunner user interface presents the test operator with decisions and dialogs as required by the test developers, with every operator action and DUT response being captured and stored in the relational database; in addition, the Kozio solution provides users with significant flexibility; data from an existing process flow can easily be captured in the Kozio database, giving a single point of reference for test data. A simple pass/fail graphic indicates the board status on test completion. A full test report for each board is stored in the database; many users choose to print out this report and ship it with each hardware system to ensure their end customers that proper quality procedures have been followed for their unique board.
Should a board fail test at any stage, it can be passed on to a rework group, who can query the test database to identify exactly which test failed and with what symptoms. Connecting to the board through ValidationAssistant™ gives engineering staff the ability to quickly re-run the failing test, and rapidly refine the scope to identify exactly why the board fails, and to promptly repair the board or send it back up the line for rework or component replacement.
At any time, test operators, line managers and other operations staff can invoke SequenceReporter to query the relational database, and to access current or historical status of their entire end-of-line process, determining board status, and comparing operator, fixture, station and site performance. Reporting status, determining trends, and tracking continuous improvement have never been easier.
Use kDiagnostics to ensure that your board design meetsfunctional specifications, or use Kozio's complete In-system Diagnostics platform across your whole product life-cycle. More thoroughly test your board.
